This was by far the best excursion we did with the kids in Clearwater!
We weren't sure about it at first, because it was more expensive than other excursion. Which is you are staying in Clearwater, no need to plan anything ahead of time, just walk down the the marina across from Pier 60 and walk the deck to see which excursion you and your family would like. We did a dolphin cruise as well, and plan on going back to take a cruiser out on our own, which the offer. But if you are one that likes to plan ahead, click on the link above and book your cruise!
As you board the ship they will take your family photo, which they offer to you in a frame at the end of the cruise for $25, it's a little pricey, but just get it. I am so grateful for that awesome pirate frame and my family photo!
The crew's shipmates are in character the entire cruise and even yell speeches at you while waiting to board.
Once on board there are unlimited drinks for the whole party. Mom and Dad had sangria while the kids had their fair share of a soda factory!
Each kid gets a pirate hat and pirate swag to play with and take pictures of! Take lots of pictures, super great photo ops.
After the boat starts going around the marina, all the kdis are taken to the lower deck to sit and listen to a pirate story, while parents are asked to go to the upper decks and enjoy the views. (They have an adult only side.) Your kids are entertained the entire cruise!!!!!! You can enjoy the cruise!!!!!!Well worth it.
The kids get squirt guns to go try to catch the bad pirates, Peg Leg Pete, and given gold deplores, golden necklaces and other golden treasures. They read the legands and look at maps of pirates. Then have a dance party on the deck! The kids love it! Even those we get into it 100% to those who are more hesitant. They all love it.
Next time we are in Clearwater, we will definitely do this cruise again.
